HOW TO APPLY FOR A POSITION AT ORDWAY CENTER

Ordway Center requests that interested applicants apply for current, open positions, which are listed and updated on our website and automated Job Line (651-282-3110). Please be sure to indicate the title of the specific position you are applying for. Ordway Center does not accept general inquiries as applications. Also note that Ordway Center does not keep applications or resumes on file.

 

You may apply for any Ordway Center job by:

Email : Send email to jobs@ordway.org . Indicate the title of the position you are applying for, and include a cover memo, complete resume, and references in the body of your email. If you send an attachment, it must be a WORD document or PDF.

U.S. mail: Send a cover letter, resume, and references to Human Resources, Ordway Center for the Performing Arts, 345 Washington Street, Saint Paul, MN 55102.

By Fax: Send a cover letter, resume, and references by fax to the attention of Human Resources at 651-224-1820.

In person: Ordway Center is located at 345 Washington Street, on the corner of 5th and Washington streets in downtown Saint Paul. Stop by the 5th Street side entrance —the Stage Door—and ask the security attendant to show you the job notebook with listings of positions available, and supply you with an application form. You can complete the form and leave it with the attendant at the Stage Door. The Stage Door is open 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.

To apply for a paid position, you must either submit an Ordway Center application form , or a resume, cover letter, and list of references. To apply for a volunteer position, you must submit an Ordway Center Volunteer application form . A minimum of three work-related references is preferred, including the name and phone number of each reference and a description of how the reference knows you. We do not accept friends or family members as references. Depending on the position you are applying for, you may also be asked to provide your salary history and requirements with the application. Be sure to include a working phone number, and email address if applicable, where you can be reached.

Application Deadlines:

Ordway Center does not have application deadlines. We continue to collect applications and interview until we find the person most suited for the job. You will either be contacted by phone or email to set up an interview, or sent a letter stating that you are no longer under consideration, or the position has been filled.
