Department: Ticket Services
Reports to: Ticket Services Manager
Status: Part-time, temporary, volunteer
Hours: 20-25 hours per week, with specific days and hours to be arranged
Assignment: May 2010 - August 2010
This position is responsible for assisting the Ticket Services Manager with a variety of departmental needs related to the Ordway’s Ticketing and Customer Service.
1. Update and maintain data information within ticketing system, including merging of duplicate customer accounts.
2. Review competing websites and update internal calendars with local show information.
3. Fulfillment of outside organizations requests for ticket donations to their silent auctions and fundraisers.
4. Help in the preparation of training materials.
5. Research upcoming Ordway productions and help to create informational sheets for sales staff.
6. Assist the Ticket Services Supervisor with outgoing mail orders.
7. Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.
Education
Currently enrolled in or recently completed a bachelor or graduate degree with a major or related course work in arts administration, or non-profit business management.
Skills, Knowledge, Ability
Proficiency in Microsoft Office for Windows preferred, and computer aptitude required. Must possess ability to work effectively with the public; be detail oriented, flexible, and have a great sense of humor. Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to problem solve.
Equipment Operated
Computer, printer, telephone, calculator, copy machine, fax machine, and general office equipment.
