SUMMARY: Sell tickets over the phone for Ordway events using computer ticketing software, process and mail orders, place customer service calls, and work at the ticket counter.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
5% *1. Maintain positive image of Ordway Center through contacts with clients and patrons and provide positive enforcement of Ordway Center policies and procedures, while maintaining the highest level of customer service.
20% *2. Respond quickly, efficiently and courteously to patron calls.
15% *3. Utilize the computerized ticketing system to create ticket order reservations, accept credit card payments, and ensure accurate patron account information.
15% *4. Acquire and maintain accurate information regarding all pertinent events and box office policies.
15% *5. Provide clear and accurate information to patrons regarding events and box office policies.
10% *6. Work Box Office counter as required.
10% *7. Process subscription and mail orders.
10% *8. Promote the arts including planetOrdway, Ordway Center Theater Season, Minnesota Opera and Schubert Club. Willingness to suggestive sell/cross-sell different events.
4% *9. Occasionally attend Ordway Center shows, and training programs or seminars as requested. Attend mandatory meetings as scheduled.
1% 10. Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION/LICENSES: High school diploma or equivalent required; post high school education preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Sales and customer service experience required, phone sales experience preferred. Computer ticketing experience preferred, with Prologue ticketing experience a plus.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITY: Ability to work effectively with the public, strong customer service skills, excellent verbal communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure. Manual dexterity, typing and computer skills required. Arts background or interest a plus.
EQUIPMENT: Computers, printers, telephone, calculator and other general office equipment.
