Must be available for a minimum of 4 hours and up to 12 hours per week; evenings and weekends, with occasional days as needed. During Broadway shows must be available 2 weekends per month. |

$7.10 per hour for Concessionaire work, and .20 more per hour when working Coat Check. |
JOB PURPOSE:
Provides candy and drinks, checks coats for, and collects payment from patrons, ensuring highest level of customer service.
MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain positive image of Ordway Center through contacts with clients and patrons and provide positive enforcement of Ordway Center policies and procedures, while maintaining the highest level of customer service.
- Sell candy and drinks.
- Grind beans, froth milk, set up candy and soft drink/cappuccino bar.
- Set up plates and cups.
- Receive and hang coats (requires lifting) in a safe manner, following established coat check procedures.
- Receive and process payment for coat check service.
- Give concise and accurate directions to patrons regarding facilities and areas of seating.
- Maintain correct numerical order of checked items.
- Ensure that correct coat is returned to patron at the end of the shift (requires lifting).
- Ensure accurate cash box reconciliation occurs during every shift.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be 18 years of age or older.
EXPERIENCE: Sales, customer service, and cash handling experience. Food and beverage sales experience preferred.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITY:
Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds. Strong interpersonal, customer relations, and communication skills. Ability to administer cash transactions and reconcile cash box to coat inventory required. Ability to work flexible schedule, work in a potentially high stress environment, to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy coats.
EQUIPMENT OPERATED: Calculator; cappuccino machine, bean grinder, cash box.
