The ARTwalk is an exhibit of children's artwork collected from schools and community organizations across the region. The public exhibit celebrates the achievements of young people's visual creativity as part of the Flint Hills International Children’s Festival, produced annually by Ordway Center for the Performing Arts. All young artists are invited to participate in this unique visual arts experience. The 2009 Deadline for Submission of Intent is February 24, 2009.
To find out how you can be a part of the ARTwalk, please call Kirstin Wiegmann, Festival Coordinator at 651.282.3035 or kwiegmann@ordway.org.
We would like to thank all the building owners and management companies for allowing us to display the vibrant, inspiring creations of our youth in the store front windows. Thank you as well to 3M for donating all of the ARTwalk window and sidewalk clings.
The 2008 ARTwalk continued to expand for the third year in a row. Led by the ARTwalk curator Joe Iverson, a team of SPCPA interns and Ordway Center staff installed more than 645 pieces of artwork that were submitted from around the state.
