Through a partnership with the city’s Blooming Saint Paul a 50-foot floral mosaic installation will be created in Landmark Plaza during the Festival Week. Blooming Saint Paul is a planting initiative which strives to beautify downtown Saint Paul and surrounding neighborhoods in order to enhance the working, living and tourism environment of the City. Horticulturists and Master Gardeners from blooming Saint Paul will conceptualize, design, and install the mosaic using materials such as flower petals, mulches and growing plants. Repurposed motors will power 8ft spinning flower sculptures. Students involved in the K-12 Public Art Project will collaborate to produce sonic elements which will be included in the garden.
