On August 23, Ordway Center brings you the top progressive comedians in the country with Laughing Liberally. This is your chance! Show us how funny YOU are and win an opportunity to deliver your sharpest political comedy standup routine, live on our Main Hall stage with the comedians of Laughing Liberally.
Enter now! Post a video of your best 3-7 minute political standup routine to YouTube and submit a link to it on this page below. Submit your video by August 14. The top 3 submissions will be selected and the finalists will perform live August 17 at Joke Joint Comedy Club in Bloomington. That night a winner will be chosen to perform on the big stage at Ordway Center during Laughing Liberally.

OFFICIAL CONTEST DETAILS:

To enter, visit ordway.org/funny. You will be asked to submit a 3-7 minute video on youtube of yourself performing a political stand-up routine.

Entry deadline is midnight, August 14, 2008. Must be 18 years of age or older to enter.

Three semi-finalists will be selected from submitted videos.

Finalists must be available to perform in front of a live audience, August 17, 7:30pm at Joke Joint Comedy Club in Bloomington. Grand prize winner will be selected by a local panel of judges.

Grand prize winner will perform August 23 at Ordway Center, as part of the Laughing Liberally line-up. Grand prize winner will also receive six tickets to Laughing Liberally, an overnight hotel stay at the Holiday Inn RiverCentre, and dinner at The Liffey restaurant.
