The smash-hit musical Sing-a-long-a Sound of Music is back at the Ordway for two screenings on Saturday, March 22 at 11:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
Experience the classic Julie Andrews film musical in glorious full-screen Technicolor® like you’ve never seen before. Get ready to sing your heart out to the sing-along subtitles with vocal warm up led by Erin Schwab. Plus, each guest will receive a complimentary party pack that includes props to use at strategic points in the film.
Come early dressed as your favorite Sound of Music character for a chance to win tickets to future Ordway performances in the famous Fancy Dress Competition. Doors open at 11am for the 11:30am screening and 6pm for the 6:30pm screening.
Sing-a-long-a Sound of Music opened at the Prince Charles Cinema in August of 1999. The show received significant TV coverage and amassed an impressive stack of newspaper stories. Due to the publicity craze, regular performances were scheduled at the cinema. Today, that tradition continues and Sing-a-long-a Sound of Music has been performed around the world.
